The Lucknow franchise signed KL Rahul for the IPL

The Lucknow franchise has signed three players, including Indian opener KL Rahul, who will captain India in the ODI series in South Africa. Marcus Stoinis, an all-rounder from Australia, and Ravi Bishnoi, an uncapped leg spinner from India, complete the squad.

The Lucknow franchise has a purse of INR 60 Cr – Rahul cost them INR 15 Cr, Stoinis earned them INR 11 Cr, and Bishnoi, INR 4 Cr. Rahul will also captain the franchise.

KL Rahul was the first player bought by Lucknow Team. Rahul has been consistent batter in the IPL since the 2018 IPL,

In his previous franchise, Punjab Kings, where he had been captain the past two seasons, Rahul had stated that he wished for a change, and was subsequently released by the management.
