Jasprit Bumrah’s Workload Debate: Balwinder Singh Sandhu Criticizes Modern “Workload

India is only the second team in T20I history to accomplish this feat.
India’s fantasy run under Rohit Sharma’s captaincy continued Friday, with the Men in Blue clinching another series triumph. The Rohit-led squad defeated the West Indies by eight runs in the second T20I at Kolkata’s Eden Gardens. Rishabh Pant was named Man of the Match (MOTM) for his quick-fire hit of 52 off 28 deliveries.
With this victory, Team India reached a significant milestone by winning 100 T20Is. They are just the second side, after arch-rival Pakistan, to achieve this feat in men’s cricket. The Men in Blue have played 155 T20Is, with a record of 100 victories, 51 losses, and four no-results. While India has 97 outright victories, three have come in the form of a bowl out or a super over.
Meanwhile, Pakistan has played 189 T20I games, with 118 victories, 64 losses, and five abandoned games to its credit. Only Afghanistan (67.97) has a higher victory percentage in T20I history than India (65.23) among teams that have played more than 50 games.
India and Pakistan have each won the T20 World Cup on one occasion. India’s lone triumph came in the first edition in 2007, when they defeated the Men in Green in a nail-biting final led by MS Dhoni.
Discussing the ongoing series, India and the West Indies will play a dead rubber on Sunday in the third and final game of the series. Following that, the Men in Blue will play Sri Lanka in a three-match T20I series beginning on February 24th.
