Anurag Thakur inaugurates friendly Table Tennis match in Kashi Tamil Sangamam: As part of the eight-day “Kashi Tamil Sangamam – Sports Summit,” he opened the friendly Table Tennis event that was held today , 12^th December 2022.

Varanasi’s Sigra Stadium has been upgraded, and Shri Anurag Thakur had examined it. He made improvements suggestions to the stadium upgrade project.

Additionally, he carried out space audits at several Ministry of Information & Broadcasting offices in Varanasi. He went to the Kashi Vishwanath Temple and prayed there.

The objective of “Ek Bharat Shreshtha Bharat” is being achieved, according to Shri Thakur, who praised the Prime Minister for the Kashi Tamil Sangamam initiative. Additionally, he said that the same amount of passion displayed by players today was also there among those on the Tamil Nadu and Uttar Pradesh teams that were participating.

He said,

Two cultures are uniting through literature, culture and sports 

Speaking to the crowd, Shri Anurag Thakur stated that numerous literary and cultural activities are taking place at the “Kashi Tamil Sangamam” event, and as a result, the initiative to unite the North and South through sports is also taking place. He added that the connections between the North and the South represent our long-standing traditions, which date back more than a thousand years.

Shri Thakur also said that the people of Tamil Nadu are not only getting an opportunity to visit ‘Kashi Vishwanath’ but are also getting acquainted with the art and culture of this place, which is a matter of pride for all. He interacted with all the players from Uttar Pradesh and Tamil Nadu.
