Christian Eriksen to play for Manchester United next season
Former Tottenham Hotspurs and Brentford midfielder Christian Eriksen has agreed terms with Manchester United.
Christian Eriksen will sign for the Red Devils as a free agent. Currently, there’s a verbal agreement between the two parties, with medical and signature to be scheduled in the coming days.
Christian Eriksen had an offer from former team Tottenham Hotspurs and Brentford but, this time, he chooses to play for a non-london team.
He will sign a contract that will have him at the club till 2025. An exceptional signing for new boss Erik Ten Hag. Eriksen’s creativity will help United to break down deep lying teams, something, that they have been unable to do frequently.
With Paul Pogba departing as a free agent this summer, Eriksen has been signed by United to fill that void.
Eriksen will become the second major signing of the Red Devils’ transfer window, after agreeing a £13 million deal plus add-ons with Feynoord. United beat Olympique Lyonnais to the signature of Malacia.
Eriksen had a cardiac arrest mid-game and collapsed on the pitch while playing the group-stage match at last year’s UEFA Euro Cup. Fortunately, he is back on the pitch. He represented the Bees(Brentford), after joining them in January.
He played 11 games since joining the Bees, in which he scored 1 goal and assisted 4 others.(Stats from Transfermarkt)
A great signing for Manchester United, which will ease the nerves of the supporters, amidst the Ronaldo transfer saga.
