FIFA WORLD CUP QATAR 2022

Cristiano Ronaldo breaks down after Portugal gets eliminated from the World Cup

Cristiano Ronaldo breaks down after Portugal gets eliminated from the World Cup : Although Ronaldo and his teammates gave it their all and came near on numerous times, Morocco was able to maintain their advantage after Youssef En-Nesyri headed in from close range in the last seconds of the first half.

In what was probably the 37-year-final old’s  final appearance in the competition, Ronaldo’s Portugal were defeated 1-0 by Morocco in the quarterfinals. Morocco created history as they became the first African nation to make it through to the last 4 stage of the showpiece event.

FIFA honoured him by compiling a video of his eight goals from five different editions. In 2006, Ronaldo beat Iran to score his first World Cup goal. His second was against North Korea in 2010.

In the 2014 game against Ghana, he scored. It’s possible that his hat-trick against Spain, which included a dramatic free-kick equaliser, was his best World Cup performance to date. In that same year, he also scored a header against Morocco. In the current 2022 edition, Ronaldo only scored once, against Ghana from the penalty spot in the first game.

He didn’t intend for it to end that way, but that is exactly how it did, as if it had been predetermined by an unchangeable, unforgiving fate. While stumbling down the tunnel, Cristiano Ronaldo covered his teary eyes with his arms. The way he suppressed his feelings has a wonderful, solitary irony, as if the world did not want to record his vulnerable moment, when all of the alpha-male strength was demolished in a split second of uncontrollable pain and grief.

Ronaldo continues to think that he can still have an impact on games and that he is still the all-around superstar he once was. The environment must have changed, but not him, with his fierce competition, sparkling ego, and never-ending need to succeed, succeed more, and succeed insatiably. He has been exactly as strong and brilliant as his dreams.

From this day onwards:

Ronaldo will join the distinguished group of legends who have never touched the World Cup. The list is lengthy, beautiful, and contains a heartbreaking romance.

However, the turbulent end shouldn’t wash away the memories he gave the World Cup. None as memorable as his hat-trick against Spain, which came at the height of his abilities. The free kick was executed with perfect mathematical precision and was taken from the sharpest angle at 25 yards from the goal.

Not just Ronaldo supporters, but all football fans continue to show their love and respect for Ronaldo.
