DeMar DeRozen is not a name every sports fan would’ve heard of but his performances have been setting fire in the NBA this season. Chicago Bull’s DeRozen has now scored 35 plus points from at least 50% shots from the field for the sixth consecutive game in the NBA. This six-game scoring streak has matched him up with one of the biggest names in the game, Wilt Chamberlain. This is also the longest stretch in the history of the NBA which means another game like that can make him a record-breaker as well.
Chamberlain had achieved this same feat twice in the past but was unable to break the six-game streak barrier on both occasions as well. DeRozen’s streak had started when he scored 45 points against the Philadelphia 76ers on Feb 6 and since then has scored 38, 36, 35, 38, and 40 point games till now.
There are comparisons that are mentioning him in the same field as one of the greatest, if not the greatest player in the world – Michael Jordan as well.
He’ll suit up with the chance to break Chamberlain’s record as the only player in NBA history with seven straight games of 35-plus points on 50 percent-or-better shooting from the field when the Bulls take on the Sacramento Kings in their final game before the All-Star break on Wednesday, Feb. 16
