The last match of the three-match Test series is being played between England and New Zealand in Leeds. England’s team is currently leading 2-0 in the series and the Kiwis have come out on the field to save the honours. However, England suffered a major setback on the fourth day of the Test match on Sunday. The team’s wicket-keeper batsman Ben Foakes was found to be corona infected.

Because of this, he did not come on the field for fielding on the fourth day. The England Cricket Board gave this information through Twitter. Foakes was not able to keep wickets properly even on the third day of the match (Saturday). He had pain in his back. After this, he was examined on Saturday and his report came positive in LFT Kovid test.

The England Cricket Board said it was too early to say anything about Foakes’s return, but he is expected to be fit by the time the Test against India starts next week. Foakes was replaced in the middle test with the consent of the ICC. Kent wicketkeeper Sam Billings was included in the team as a Covid replacement.

On the fourth day, Sam Billings appeared to be wicketkeeping in place of Fox. Not only this, he will also be seen batting for England in the fourth innings of the Test. After the report of Foakes came positive, other players of England are also under threat of corona. In this case, some other cases may also come up.

The England Cricket Board has said that at present there is no problem with any other player. If something like this happens, they will also be investigated and then some action will be taken.
