Four fans of cricketer Virat Kohli have been detained in Bengaluru for breaching the security cordon to take selfies with their favorite star. The police gave this information on Monday.
According to the police, an FIR has been registered against them in the Cubbon Park police station area. Among the accused, one from Kalaburagi and the other from Bengaluru will be produced before the court. They have been booked for violating security protocols. The accused youth suddenly ran towards Virat Kohli to take a selfie with the cricketer at around 10.15 pm on Sunday night.
The incident took place on the second day of the Day-Night Test between India and Sri Lanka at the M. Chinnaswamy Stadium here. The Cubbon Park police immediately took him into custody. Two minors are said to be among the accused.
Bengaluru is the second home for the Virat Kohli as his actress wife Anushka Sharma is from there. Fans in Bengaluru have had a special bond with Virat while playing for Royal Challengers Bangalore in the Indian Premier League.
