Former India spinner Harbhajan Singh has called on the Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) to set aside egos and embrace the ‘Hybrid Model’ for the ICC Champions Trophy, slated for 2025. As per the model, India would play its matches in Dubai due to security concerns.
“Talk to the players; they’re all okay with playing in Abu Dhabi or Dubai. Indo-Pak matches are already rare, and Pakistan should consider the Hybrid Model. There are genuine security concerns for India, and I’ve been saying this since 2022,” Harbhajan remarked while speaking to PTI during the World Tennis League inauguration.
The cricket legend also shared his insights on the ongoing India vs. Australia Test series. He suggested that Indian captain Rohit Sharma might either open the innings or slot into the No. 3 position for the second Test.
With his candid comments, Harbhajan has stirred discussions around cricket’s most intense rivalry and provided valuable inputs for India’s Test strategies.
