Hockey India: Day One Results

~ Manipur Hockey beat Kerala Hockey 9-0 in Pool B ~
Hockey India, Imphal, 11 May 2022: The hosts Manipur Hockey kickstarted the 12th Hockey India Sub Junior Women National Championship 2022 with a comprehensive 9-0 win over Kerala Hockey on the opening day here on Wednesday.

Tanu Shorensangbam (14′, 18′, 24′) starred with a hat-trick, while Kangabam Srmila Devi (30′, 35′) netted twice as the home side registered a comprehensive win in the first and only match of the day. Laishram Ritu Devi (33′), Captain Daina Ningombam Devi (34′), Keisam Eleena Devi (47′) and Thokchom Dainali Devi (55′) also contributed a goal each to help Manipur Hockey bag three crucial points in the first Pool B fixture.

With its vision to popularize the game and constantly promote it, Hockey India has brought the Indian Men’s Hockey Team into the top three in the world. Hockey India is also dedicated to getting the Indian Women’s Hockey Team into the top three in the world.
