I would like to spend quality time with my family: Jason Roy

On Tuesday, England batsman Jason Roy confirmed that he will not participate in the 2022 Indian Premier League (IPL), due to personal reasons. Taking to Twitter to thank the Gujarat Titans for selecting him for Rs 2 crore, Roy expressed his gratitude and expressing gratitude to the GT family, particularly captain Hardik Pandya, for placing their “confidence” in him during the IPL auction last month.

I am sending my best wishes to all those who are involved with the Gujarat Titans, especially their fans and players. I’ve decided to withdraw from this year’s event with a heavy heart.

Roy stated that he will back Hardik Pandya’s team to win the title in their maiden season.

I’d like to enjoy some time with family members.. In addition, throughout the next several months, I’ll be focusing on myself and my game in preparation for a very busy year. “I’ll be watching every Titans game and cheering  them to win the title in their first year,” he said.

In addition to Roy, GT also purchased Mohammed Shami, Matthew Wade, and Lockie Ferguson during the auction.

Meanwhile, the franchise picked Hardik, Rashid Khan, and Shubman Gill before of the auction.

The IPL season will run from March 26 to May 29, with games taking place at four separate sites in Mumbai and Pune.

The ten teams were split into two virtual groups of five.

GT has been drawn to Group B, which includes the Chennai Super Kings, Sunrises Hyderabad, Royal Challengers Bangalore, and Punjab Kings.
