The fixture list for the 2022 T20 World Cup in Australia has been released. The Men’s T20 World Cup 2020 will be held in Australia. The tournament will run from 16th October to 13th November. Total 45 matches will be played across seven venues- Melbourne, Sydney, Brisbane, Adelaide, Geelong, Hobart, and Perth. Sri Lanka and Namibia are in group A of the ICC T20 World Cup Qualifiers. The two-time champions West Indies and Scotland in ICC T20 World Cup Qualifiers. Later the four additional teams will be added to the super 12 groups.
In Super 12 Group 1 features England, New Zealand, Australia, and Afghanistan are in Group 1, plus the winner of Group A and the runner-up in Group B from the First Round. While Group 2 features India, Pakistan, South Africa, and Bangladesh heading into Group 2. Plus, the winner of Group B and runner-up in Group A from the First Round.
The two finalists from ICC T20 WC 2021 Australia and New Zealand will face each other on 22nd OCT it is also the opening match of Super 12. The Black Caps will also face England at The Gabba on 1 November.
The Men in Blue will face their arch-rivals Pakistan in their 1st match of the tournament on 23rd October at the Melbourne Cricket ground (MCG). It is a powerpack weekend for all cricketing fans around the world.
The 1st Semi-Final will hold on to 9th November 2022 on Sydney Cricket Ground (SCG). On 10th November, the 2nd Semi-Final will be played at Adelaide Oval.
