Ishan Kishan was slow off the start but managed to pick up his pace after Rohit Sharma smashed Odean Smith for 22 runs in one over. India’s first setback came at 64 runs as Roston Chase got the wicket of Rohit (40 off 19). Following his dismissal, India lost three wickets in quick succession in the form of Virat Kohli, Kishan, and Rishabh Pant.
However, another impressive batting spell by Suryakumar Yadav helped India in coming out as victors comfortably in the end. The stand-out performance in the game has to go to Ravi Bishnoi who at the age of just 21 years managed to make his Team India debut. The youngster also had a great first bowling spell as he took 2 wickets at the expense of just 17 runs in the 4 overs.
