India will be without Jadeja and Avesh Khan, Pakistan without Dahani

Asia Cup 2022: Both India and Pakistan lose key players before tomorrow’s crucial match

For the second time in the Asia Cup, arch rivals India and Pakistan will face each other.
But there are injury concerns for both the teams before the much awaited match tomorrow.

While Ravindra Jadeja is to get a knee surgery, which rules him out of the T20 World Cup too, Coach Rahul Dravid mentioned in the presser that pacer Avesh Khan is feeling unwell. The availability of Avesh Khan for tomorrow’s match is slender.
As for Pakistan, pacer Shahnawaz Dahani will miss the Super-4 match because of a suspected side strain.

Axar Patel is the replacement that India have chosen for Ravindra Jadeja. With the chances of Avesh Khan playing tomorrow looking bleak, it will be interesting to see the line up that India choose to come out with. Same goes for Pakistan, who will be a pacer short for the upcoming tie.

Last time out, it was India who had the last laugh, as they won the match by 5 wickets and 2 balls to spare.

Hardik Pandya was the hero last time as he hit a 6 to close off the chase of 148 in style. He was unbeaten on 33 off 17, striking at a hugely impressive rate of 194.11.

Hardik Pandya and Dinesh Karthik celebrate India’s win over Pakistan in the Asia Cup.

He was ably supported by Ravindra Jadeja, who managed to score a well paced 35(29) and Virat Kohli, who scored 35(34).

Mohammad Nawaz and Naseem Shah picked up 3 and 2 wickets respectively but it was not enough as India managed to win the tie.
Earlier, Hardik Pandya and Bhuvneshwar Kumar picked up 7 wickets together, to dent the Pakistan batting order as they only managed to score 147 and were bowled out with 1 ball to spare.

Predicted XI for the Super-4 tie.
India: Rohit Sharma(C), KL Rahul, Virat Kohli, Suryakumar Yadav, Hardik Pandya, Rishabh Pant(wk), Ravichandran Ashwin, Axar Patel, Bhuvneshwar Kumar, Arshdeep Singh, Yuzvendra Chahal.

Pakistan: Babar Azam(C), Mohammed Rizwan(wk), Fakhar Zaman, Iftikhar Ahmed, Haider Ali, Shadab Khan, Khushdil Shah, Mohammad Nawaz, Naseem Shah, Haris Rauf, Hasani Ali

Tomorrow’s match will be played at the Dubai International Stadium.
