As the world celebrated the Intl. Family Day last week on Sunday (May 15th), the Pro Panja League community marked the occasion with a unique social media activity. Initiated by the Pro Panja League Co-Founders Mr. Parvin Dabas and Ms. Preeti Jhangiani on the Koo Social Media app, the idea behind the challenge was to invite the arm-wrestling community to indulge in a game of Panja with their family members and post videos of the same on social media.

With arm-wrestling being a sport associated with almost every household in India, and requiring a bare minimum cost to play, several arm-wrestlers from across the country participated in the challenge, as they posted videos of their family members playing a game of arm-wrestling to mark the occasion. The videos also gave a unique glimpse into the everyday lives of India’s arm-wrestling community. Harman Mann, one of the Pro Panja stars, posted a video on Koo in which his family members were seeing a game of arm-wrestling.
“It’s family Panja time,”
Harman Mann said in the video.
Another prominent Pro Panja athlete, Sameer VT, also posted a video of himself indulging in a game of arm-wrestling with his wife as his opponent. Interestingly, Sameer took the loss in all three rounds against his wife.
