Lallianzuala Chhangte signed by Mumbai City FC on loan from Chennaiyin FC

Defending champions Mumbai City FC are currently in the fight to secure the top 4 spot for them and will need all the help they can get at the moment. The club had started the season in good form but a slump in results caused the team to slip down to 6th in the table at the moment. The club have signed talented midfielder Lallianzuala Chhangte from Chennaiyin FC on a loan deal that will last for 6 months. The midfielder has performed well this season and will surely bolster the Mumbai City squad with some more firepower.

The Chennaiyin FC midfielder took to his social media account to express his views on the move and also thanked the fans for their support throughout his spell at the club. He said “To my @chennaiyinfc Family. I write to you all with a very heavy heart. I can assure you all that it is not an easy decision to make. I’ve been thinking a lot, praying and after discussing with my family and my agent, I have finally come to this heart-wrenching decision that I shall be moving on from CFC in January.”

“This is purely a decision taken as I believe this is one of those moments where life gives you a chance to develop further in one’s career to serve this sport that I love with all my heart and my country.
There are no words enough to thank enough CHENNAIYIN FC for making me a part of one of the biggest clubs in India and this club will always be in my heart as a family club not because someone is telling me but because I’ve experienced it.”

“I was fortunate enough to experience and spend some time with one of the most amazing fans in Indian football. I thank you all from the bottom of my heart for all your love and support.
Thank you to the whole coaching & admin staff and our Head Coach for respecting my decision, I only wish you all the very best in life.
Obviously, I’m going to miss the management who took care of me since I arrived in Chennai 2 and a half years ago so.
To all my teammates, I wish you all the best for the rest of the season and beyond I’m going to miss the fun and victories we have shared on and off the pitch. All the best guys, I shall see you soon. God Bless.”
