Lucknow beats Hyderabad by 12 runs in a close match

Lucknow Super Giants registered their second win by defeating Sunrisers Hyderabad by 12 runs.

Lucknow Super Giants defeated Sunrisers Hyderabad by 12 runs in an Indian Premier League T20 match on Monday with the brilliant bowling of Avesh Khan (4/24) after captain Lokesh Rahul (68) and Deepak Hooda (51) scored half-centuries.

Lucknow Super Giants, who had defeated Chennai Super Kings in the previous match, lost three wickets in the powerplay for the fourth wicket between captain Rahul (six fours, one six in 50 balls) and Hooda (three fours, three sixes in 33 balls). Recovering from a partnership of 87 runs, scored 169 runs for seven wickets.

Sunrisers Hyderabad’s team had to bear the brunt of the continuous loss of wickets, as the team could only manage 157 runs for nine wickets in 20 overs and suffered a second consecutive defeat. In the last match, the team was defeated by Rajasthan Royals. The bowlers of Lucknow Super Giants defended the score of just 169 runs in which Avesh played an important role. His final and 18th over of the innings was crucial in which he took two wickets of Nicholas Pooran and Abdul Samad. Jason Holder (3 for 34) took three wickets in the last over.
