Manchester City fans arrived at the City Store early in the morning with the hope of securing one of a limited number of PUMA pre-match jerseys which feature a white base with light blue hoops and navy and gold detailing, along with a unique number located on the waistband and 93:20 sign-off on the neck.
Later, Club representatives, partners and fans came together for a special lunch at the Etihad Stadium to commemorate the 2011/12 season, looking back at key moments as well as the final match itself, which saw the team score twice in injury time to secure the Club’s first league title in 44 years.
Throughout the day, Cityzens across the globe had the opportunity to enter competitions to win exclusive 93:20 merchandise and prizes and take part in the celebrations with access to digital activities including 93:20 mobile wall papers and font generators.
Manchester City’s 93:20 documentary – the definitive story of the 2011/12 season with exclusive interviews – was then launched across the Club’s content platforms for fans to watch and enjoy. You can view the documentary here.
As the evening began, attention turned to Manchester’s Depot Mayfield for an evening of entertainment with 2,000 fans alongside members of the title-winning squad including Sergio Aguero, who scored the goal that sparked jubilant celebrations.

Aguero was joined by former teammates who took part in a series of interviews throughout the evening, as part of wider onstage activities and DJ performances.
Fans around the globe were able to join in by watching Manchester City’s live show which took fans backstage to see and hear from the players who reflected on their memories of the Club’s first Premier League title ten years later.
Sergio Aguero
“I am feeling good. I am very happy to be here after ten years. I can say hello again to the fans and my
teammates. I am happy and I have enjoyed this moment.
“The statue, I am very proud. A statue outside of the stadium is amazing. It is amazing for me, my
family and friends but also the Manchester City fans. The kids also, maybe they don’t know who I am,
but when they see the statue, they will say it is Sergio Aguero!
“That moment [93:20] was fantastic. I always thought ‘what will happen if we don’t win the league’.
For me, it was the best moment in my life. I don’t know if it will happen again. I think it is the best
moment in the Premier League.”
Pablo Zabaleta
“It is incredible, time flies. It is ten years since one of the greatest games ever in the Premier League.
To be honest, every single time I get the opportunity to watch some clips of that game I am still nervous
and feel like something I cannot describe with words how I felt in that game, especially in the last 10
minutes.

“I was the one who scored the first goal, but nobody remembers it! The forgotten goal. But if you look
at the last five minutes and extra time, we needed to score two goals against a team that were
defending to stay in the Premier League. That was an incredible moment and something that will take
a long, long time to see again like that.”
Nigel de Jong
“It is just the togetherness. People don’t understand how tight this group was and still is. That dressing
room was second to none.
“That is the key to the success we had as a team; the togetherness and strongness of the dressing
room. Mancini wanted to push the pressure off us and say it was all on United. Of course, inside the
dressing room the hope was always there and you have to have hope to believe. As a team you think
there is a possibility, we could still become champions. It wasn’t easy!
“It doesn’t matter if [this group] do not see each other for five or ten years, it is always as it was
before.”
Micah Richards
“Gareth Barry was the unsung hero. Gael Clichy, from the Invincibles, just stepped in. James Milner,
Gareth Barry and Clichy were all heroes.
“Mancini was the best, the way he got all of the personalities to perform on the weekend, he got the
best out of us. To bring home the Premier League after so many years was so special. It was amazing
to do that.”
Joleon Lescott
“We have a genuine friendship and a bond that cannot be broken. The foundations of the title were
made in pre-season. The bond is crazy. We all played at clubs longer than we did here and it doesn’t
feel the same.”
Gareth Barry
“When the message came through about attending this event, our first thought was that it is going to
be great to see the lads and celebrate with the fans. You cannot turn down moments like this.
“Our main game in that season, the 6-1 win at Old Trafford, let everyone know we were there to mean
business.
“I think the Arsenal defeat gave us little hope and we just said the only thing we can do is win all six
games and get a bit of luck. Our job was to win six games, the rest we rely on the other teams and
luckily we got some help.”
Yaya Toure
“It is a pleasure and we are very happy to meet again. I am very happy to be a part of this club.
“I believed in myself and I believed in my team. What those guys did was enormous to be honest.
Everything I achieved at this club was because of these lads.”
Gael Clichy
“Within the squad we knew we could do something, eight points was a big gap but we always believed
we could do it.
