1. On December 26, 2018, Mayank played his first test match in test cricket for the first time against Australia.
2. At Melbourne Cricket Stadium, he scored 76 runs in his first test innings, the most ever by an Indian opener in an Australian test. It unquestionably improved Agarwal as a player.
3. At a match against South Africa in Visakhapatnam in October 2019, Mayank achieved his first test century. Later, using 23 fours and 6 sixes, he turned this hundred into a double-ton and scored 215.

8. In 11 games for Kings XI Punjab in the 2020 IPL, he scored 424 runs overall, averaging 38.54 runs per game.
9. In 2023 IPL Auction he was picked by Sunrisers Hyderabd Team for a whooping price of INR 8.25 crore making him an expensive Indian buy of the auction, which again proves that he is very much valued in cricket.
10. Anil Kumble, who coached Punjab Team previous year convyed his wishes to Mayank and said he was happy bout him joining the Hydrabad squad.
