The PSL 7 Player of the Year is Muhammad Rizwan of Multan Sultans. To get his team to the final, the batsman made 546 runs at a strike rate of 126.68. The PSL named Rizwan to be the Wicketkeeper for season 2022 as well. Earlier this year Rizwan was selected as Most Valuable Cricketer and T20I Cricketer at the PCB Awards 2021.
The commentary team, which covered practically every ball of this incredibly fascinating, gripping, and thrilling event, chose all individual awards, except for the umpire of the PSL 2022 award. Statistics related to players were considered, but they weren’t the primary criterion.
As for the top batter and bowler, they were respectively Shadab Khan of Islamabad United and Fakhar Zaman of Lahore Qalandars. Fakhar scored 588 runs with a strike rate of 153, while Shadab Khan finished with 19 wickets in nine matches at an economy rate of 6.47.
After collecting 153 runs at an average of 182 and securing 16 wickets at an economy rate of 6.9, Khushdil Shah was named the PSL 2022 all-rounder. He’s also grabbed PSL 2022 Fielder award.
After taking 18 wickets for Qalandars, Zaman Khan was crowned the PSL 2022 Emerging Cricketer.
Rashid Riaz has been selected the PSL 2022 Umpire, while the Sultans have been awarded the Spirit of Cricket Champions.
