History! Madhya Pradesh ensures history with their maiden Ranji Trophy Final Win

The heroes of this victory of Madhya Pradesh were Yash Dubey, Shubham Sharma and Rajat Patidar, who gave the team the lead in the first innings with a century. MP has ended a drought of 67 years with this title.

95 overs are to be played on the 5th day of the match. The way the pitch is helping the batsmen, it is less likely that the Madhya Pradesh team will falter in the fourth innings. The innings of Madhya Pradesh lasted for 14 hours and two minutes. During this, the team responded in the same manner to the 41-time champion team. The success of Madhya Pradesh in the current season goes to the credit of excellent batting in the second, third and fourth order.

On the back of the superb bowling of spinner Kumar Kartikeya and right-arm fast bowler Gaurav Yadav, Madhya Pradesh bundled out Mumbai’s second innings for 269 runs on the fifth and last day of the Ranji Trophy final. The target of 108 runs in front of the team of Madhya Pradesh, which took a lead of 162 runs in the first innings. Mumbai scored 374 runs in the first innings. In response, the team of Madhya Pradesh scored 536 runs on the basis of centuries by Yash Dubey, Shubham Sharma and Rajat Patidar.

On the fifth day on Sunday, Mumbai started playing ahead of 113 runs for 2 wickets. 41-time champion Mumbai, Armaan Jaffer was batting on 30 and Sudev Parkar on nine runs in the second innings at the end of the game on the fourth day. Hardik Tomor was sent to open the innings along with captain Prithvi Shaw to make quick runs, but Shaw returned to the pavilion after scoring 44 runs in 52 balls.
