Denver Nuggets star player Nikola Jokic has once again added his name to the elite list of NBA players as he has become the second-fastest player in NBA history to reach the 10,000 points, 5,000 rebounds and 3,000 assists club last night.
Jokic helped the Denver Nuggets to a 127-109 win over the Wizards. While doing so, he also managed to record his career 10,000th point and joined the exclusive club in just 516 games.
He has only come second to Larry Bird, who did it in 515 games.
Jokic finished his impressive night with 29 points, 13 rebounds and eight assists. It was second nature for the Serbian as it was the 44th time Jokic had recorded at least 20 points, 10 rebounds and five assists in a game this season.
Jokic’s phenomenal performances throughout the season has lined him up along with the 76ers’ Joel Embiid, as one of the contenders for this season’s NBA MVP award.
“I love playing against the best and I’m always happy that it’s another big man,” he said. “What he’s able to do, he’s a monster.”
Said Embiid who was full of praise for the Serbian
It was not just the fans who were amazed by this milestone, but also the NBA greats like Kevin Durant came to the Serbian’s appreciation via their social media as well.
