Today is the first day of the Indian premier league mega auction 2022 and all the teams are gearing up for what is to be a major reshuffle of all the players involved in the league. It was decided earlier that the shortlisted batch of players which had to be auctioned was 590. However, the IPL has changed the number to 600 players, and that too with very little time left for the auction to start as well.
The 10 players who have been added to the auction at the very last minute include – Aaron Hardie, Lance Morris, Nivethan Radhakrishnan, Agnivesh Ayachi, Hardik Damor, Nitish Kumar Reddy, Mihir Hirwani, Monu Kumar, Rohan Rana, Sairaj Patil. Three of the lot are from Australia.
Players from our U-19 World cup winning squad had also been added by the BCCI in the auction and will get a chance to showcase their talent on the domestic stage now. The U-19 players from other countries who took part in the world cup had to pass the eligibility criteria which was to have some experience in domestic cricket. Our U-19 Indian cricket team captain Yash Dhull has been placed at a base price of 20 lakhs and will be looking forward to being sold to a franchise this time.
