Olympic Medalist Manu Bhaker Casts First Vote in Haryana Assembly Elections, Encourages Youth to Get Involved

The Haryana Assembly elections witnessed a significant moment as double Olympic medallist shooter, Manu Bhaker, participated in the voting process for the first time. On Saturday, Bhaker, accompanied by her father, Ram Kishan Bhaker, cast her vote at a polling station in Charkhi Dadri, part of the Jhajjar constituency. This year, over 2 crore eligible voters across 90 constituencies in Haryana are choosing from 1,027 candidates, including 101 women and 464 independents.

Bhaker, at just 22 years old, emphasized the importance of youth involvement in elections. After casting her vote, she highlighted the responsibility of young people to take an active role in shaping the future of the country by voting for candidates who can bring positive change. She urged the youth to recognize that every vote matters and that it’s their duty to make their voices heard in the democratic process.

Her message encourages younger generations to step up and vote, as it’s not just a right but a crucial civic duty. By casting her own vote, Bhaker has set an inspiring example for other young people to follow in these important elections.

As the Haryana Assembly elections play a key role in deciding the state’s future, Bhaker’s call to action reminds us how vital youth participation is in shaping the path ahead.
