Bangladesh team won the toss and decided to bat first. Shanto was bundled out for only 12 and Soumya Sarkar scored 4. But after the dismissal of the openers, there was a great century partnership between captain Shakib Al Hasan and Liton Das. Shakib scored his second consecutive fifty of the series and scored 68 runs in 42 balls. Das, on the other hand, also managed to score 69 runs in the same number of balls. The rest of the batsmen did nothing special and Bangladesh team managed to score 173 runs in 20 overs for the loss of six wickets.
Mohammad Rizwan made 69 off 56 balls and captain Babar Azam made 55 off 40 balls and added 101 runs for the first wicket. After this, the work of fulfilling the need of fast runs was done by Mohammad Nawaz, who scored 45 runs in 20 balls.
