Pat Cummins will not play further part in IPL 2022

IPL 2022: Australian Test Skipper, Pat Cummins, has been ruled out for the remainder of the Tata IPL 2022 season, because of a Hip injury.

KKR’s official account on their twitter first posted the update stating the unfortunate injury to Pat Cummins.

Pat Cummins was bought back by Kolkata Knight Riders in the Tara IPL 2022 Mega Auction for a whopping INR 7.25 Crore.

The Aussie bowling all rounder has had an average IPL season, compared to his lofty standards.

In the 5 matches that Cummins featured in, he has picked up just 7 wickets, with an average of 30.29.

But, Cummins did show us his quality with the bat. He smashed Daniel Sams for 35 runs to finish off the match in the same over itself!

Cummins got to his 50 in the match vs Mumbai in just 15 balls!!

That was the first match that Cummins had featured in for KKR. He had taken the IPL with a storm.
Unfortunately, he was unable to carry this momentum with either the ball or the bat.

KKR are in contention for a spot in the top 4, but it will not be easy for them. They have to play fellow contenders Sunrisers Hyderabad and an in-form team in Lucknow Super Giants.

Kolkata Knight Riders need to win both their matches to have a chance of qualifying for the playoffs. This next to impossible task just became tougher, as they lose the services of Pat Cummins.
