PKL 9 semi finals: Pankaj Mohite helps the Paltan past Thalaivas

Pankaj Mohite led from the front, scoring a total of 16 points to help the Puneri Paltan to a comeback win against the sturdy Tamil Thalaivas.

A big big twist in the match as Puneri Paltan pin the Tamil raider down to inflict an all out. They have a 5 point lead with just 3 minutes left in the match.

Timely all out for the Puneri paltan as they reduce the lead down to just 1 point.

Narender Hoshiyar is thrown off the court as Pune look to comeback into this match.

Despite the best of his efforts, Fazel Atrachali I’d unable to prevent an all out as Tamil thalaivas extend their lead to 6 points.

Another super tackle from the men in orange as Puneri Paltan equal the Tamil Thalaivas score om 9.

A crucial super tackle from the Puneri paltan defence as they look to avoid an early all out.

Narender Hoshiyar comes up triumphant in the first do or die raid of the match, putting in a Super Raid!

The 2 man dash from Pune on Narender Hoshiyar is a successful one but the Referee awards 1 point apiece as momentum takes the Pune defender out of bounds. An engaging Start to the contest

Following an intense clash against the Record breaker Pardeep and UP Yoddhas, Thalaivas earned themselves a spot in the PKL 9 semi finals.

They come up against the Puneri Paltan, who have had a memorable season. While in a yudsle with Jaipur Pink Panthers for the 1st place, the Paltans managed to attain 80 points from their quota of 22 matches.

Pune are the only team to have 3 different raiders scoring more than a 100 raid points!

A lot of emerging stars have had a splendid season under the leadership of the best defender in PKL history, Fazel Atrachali.

Post the move from Pune’s derby rivals U-Mumba, Fazel led Pune to a 2nd place finish, that has earned them a direct spot in the semi finals of the PKL 9 season.

On the other hand, Tamil, who had a horrific start to the season, losing their star man Pawan Sehrawat, managed to get themselves momentum under the leadership of their new coach, Ashan Kumar.

They managed to edge out the UP Yoddhas in the 2nd quarter final, in the tie-breaker!

Thalaivas managed to keep Pardeep and other raiders of UP quiet for the majority of the game and their fans would hope for more of the same in their much awaited clash vs the Puneri Paltan.
