Premier League: Manchester United Register Their First Victory Under Ragnick

Manchester United have started their new life under their interim manager Ralf Ragnick with a 1-0 victory over Crystal Palace. Fred’s 76 goal was enough to secure much-needed 3 points for the Red as they recorded back-to-back Premier League victories. They are now in the sixth position with 24 points after playing 15 matches.

The German manager had less than 72 hours to prepare for the match after Michael Carrick’s last as caretaker boss. The Reds played on Thursday as they won 3-2 against Arsenal. Rangnick could only afford a 45-minute training session as the rest of the training was called off due to bad weather conditions. The team looked more organized and fluid in the transitions than it did under Ole Gunner Solskjaer.

European Champions Chelsea suffered a shocker against David Moyes’s West Ham as their reign at the top of the table was ended. Masuaku scored the winning goal in the 87th minute as the London derby ended 3-2. Chelsea have now conceded more goals in the past five matches than they did in the first 10 matches of the Premier League.

Manchester City and Liverpool continued their winning runs as both the teams recorded victories away from home. Bernardo Silva scored two goals as the Citizens beat Watford 1-3 Vicarage Road. Liverpool scored a very late goal to secure the three points as Divock Origi scored off the bench. City are now on top of the PL standings one point above Liverpool.

Lucas Moura’s screamer rightly grabbed the headlines after Tottenham’s comfortable victory over Norwich. It was a thunderbolt to complete a brilliant passage of play from the hosts. Spurs are now in contention for the European spot as they can go a point above West Ham if they win the game in hand.
