Rajasthan Royals paid Rs. 8.5 crores for Shimron Hetmyer during the IPL 2022 auction. The Delhi Capitals attempted to re-sign their player, but the Rajasthan Royals were able to keep him in their squad. Hetmyer had already set a basic price of Rs. 1.5 crore for himself. In the previous season, he was a member of the Delhi Capitals.
