Rohit Sharma : Is Set To Return For Bangladesh’s Second Test

Rohit Sharma : Is Set To Return For Bangladesh’s Second Test KL Rahul has been leading the Indian Test team in the absence of Rohit.

An uncapped batter Abhimanyu Easwaran replaced Rohit in the squad. 27-year-old Easwaran has played 78 first-class matches so far, scoring 5576 runs at 45.33.

Rohit finished rehabilitation, will be adequate for the second Test match, and will travel to Bangladesh to attend the game.

Due to a thumb injury received in the second ODI, Rohit was forced to miss the third and final ODI against Bangladesh as well as the opening Test.

At the moment, Rohit is attending the National Cricket Academy in Bengaluru. The necessary fitness tests were passed by him. He did not, however, play for very long in NCA’s nets.

Looks like he has had two brief physiotherapy sessions instead. By Sunday, he is expected to be back with the group in Chattogram.

When Bangladesh was batting, Rohit attempted to catch Anamul Haque in the second slip. However, the ball impacted the ground and struck Rohit Sharma in the thumb. He instantly started experiencing thumb bleeding.

He was hauled off the field and sent to the hospital for scans by the physios. The medical staff discovered during a special consultation in Mumbai that this ongoing injury was keeping him out of play and even forcing him out of the first Test against Bangladesh, which started on December 14.

Rohit’s Advice:

Indian captain Rohit Sharma recently gave a motivational speech to the Zimbabwe U-19 team despite being ruled out of the Bangladesh Test matches due to a thumb injury. He gave young Zimbabwean athletes advice to work hard and concentrate on their profession while displaying a proactive approach.

Who are the other players?

Not only Rohit Sharma but there were many other cricketers who failed to make it to the Indian squad like Jasprit Bumrah (back), Mohammad Shami (shoulder) and Ravindra Jadeja (knee).

These star players have failed to recover in time and have been ruled out of both Tests.

Good News:

The second and final Test against Bangladesh, which begins on December 22 in Mirpur, is set to include India skipper Rohit Sharma.
