Rusell Domingo Resigns:

On Wednesday, he announced his resignation as Bangladesh’s head coach, ending a more than three-year tenure marked by both highs and lows.

Two days after Bangladesh’s team lost the home Test series against India,  Russell Domingo announced his resignation as the nation’s head coach.

After Steve Rhodes was fired in September 2019, Domingo assumed the position of head coach.

Bangladesh won home T20I series against Australia and New Zealand, its first-ever Test in New Zealand, an ODI series in South Africa, and a home series against India under Domingo’s guidance.

Handed a 188-run loss in the first Test, a profligate Bangladesh went down by three wickets in the second Test on Sunday at Mirpur. After the Mirpur Test, Yunus had hinted at a change.

Domingo had taken a strong stance on Bangladesh’s plan to prepare roaring turners for home Tests on February 21, 2020, calling for more balanced grounds.

There have been rumors that he will step down soon. Domingo disputed allegations of his resignation on August 25, 2022, and stated that he would be joining the team for the India home series.
