South Africa and West Indies, both earned a point for a no result, after it was decided match cannot be played due to bad weather.
The match had been reduced to 26 overs per side. West Indies won the toss and put South Africa to bat.
West Indies were in a strong position when they had reduced the Proteas to 22/4.
Mignon Du Preez was able to steady the ship after a quick counter attack. She scored 38 off 31 to take South Africa to 61/4.
Soon, rain struck and unfortunately, the match had to be abandoned.
As a result, South Africa become the 2nd team to qualify for the semi finals. The point against West Indies helped them cement a place in the top 4.
West Indies can now only hope South Africa triumph over India, for them to qualify.
They team from the Caribbean sits in the third spot at 7 points, with England and India both having a game in hand. India beat Bangladesh by 110 runs to boost their run rate.

Both the teams are 1 point below West Indies. England’s 9 wicket win today against Pakistan, took them to 6 points with a game against Bangladesh left.
As for India, they take on the qualified South Africa. A no result against the Proteas women would also help them get through. They have a better net run rate than West Indies. As a result, 1 point will be enough for the women in blue.
It is a must win encounter for India when they take on South Africa on 27th March.
