Test captain Ben Stokes not a part of T20I squad for India
India vs England: Ben Stokes to skip the T20 Internationals for England.
England Test Captain Ben Stokes will not play in the T20I series against India but, will return for the ODI series, revealed England’s cricket board (ECB).
Jos Buttler is set to lead the English side in white ball cricket, while red ball skipper rests for the T20I series. He has been appointed captain on the back of the retirement of World Cup winning captain Eoin Morgan.

England will host 3 T20I’s starting 7th July, before the focus shifts to the 50 over format.
Currently, India and England are playing the 5th and final test of the 5 match series that had been postponed last year, after a COVID outbreak in the Indian camp.
Leg spinner Adil Rashid will miss the 50 over match series, after the ECB granted permission to miss them to make the Hajj pilgrimage to Mecca.
