The stand of Mohali Cricket Ground will be named after Yuvraj and Harbhajan

Mohali Cricket Ground : Just ahead of India’s first T20I against Australia, the Punjab Cricket Association (PCA) has decided to name two of its stands at the IS Bindra International Stadium after Harbhajan Singh and Yuvraj Singh. These two domestic players are considered the pride of Punjab land and hence the board has decided to honor them by naming the stands after them.

The famous terrace block has been renamed after off-spinner Harbhajan Singh, who helped India win several games including the 2011 World Cup and the T20 World Cup. Harbhajan Singh, popularly known as Bhajji, has represented India in 103 Tests, 236 ODIs. He has also played 28 T20Is and has taken 711 wickets in all three formats.

Meanwhile, the North Pavilion of the stadium has been named after Yuvraj Singh who was instrumental in helping India win the 2011 World Cup. Yuvi also played an important role in the 2007 T20 World Cup where India defeated Pakistan in the final match. Apart from these two big achievements, Yuvraj Singh has played 40 Tests, 304 ODIs and 58 T20 matches and has scored 11,778 runs in all three formats and also took 148 wickets.

PCA Secretary Dilsher Khanna told The Indian Express that “in this historic decision, the PCA Executive Committee, headed by Chairman Gulzar Inder Chahal, named the Terrace Block and North Pavilion Stand after the great Indian cricketers Harbhajan Singh and Yuvraj Singh. have decided to keep.

India-Australia T20 series from September 20: On September 20, the first T20 of the series will be played at IS Bindra Stadium, Mohali. While the second T20 match will be played in Nagpur on 23 September, the third T20 will be played in Hyderabad. After this, India will play three T20s and three ODIs against South Africa.
